Caps off to those of you who’ve made it through the first week of the Paleo Challenge unscathed!  The first 2 weeks are the toughest. Remember, you are removing a lot of foods that have been staples in your diet, so you’re most likely going to experience some withdrawal symptoms initially.

Some Things to Expect in the Initial Detox Phase:

  • fatigue
  • foggy-headedness
  • intense cravings
  • shakiness
  • more visits to the toilet

On a more positive note, I learned this morning that one crossfitter has already lost 8 pounds!  And a beloved 6am-er noticed she’s able to push herself a little harder during the metcons.  Keep it up, guys!

Quick Reminder: don’t leave your partner hanging! By now, you should all be paired up with someone who’s also doing the Challenge. Check in with your partner via email, text or in person at least once a week to vent, reflect or just to be sure they’re still alive.  If you need a partner please email (michael@crossfitdublin.ie)me directly.
