Acheive Your Goals, Ring that Bell!!!

I’m sure many of you have noticed the whiteboards up on the wall. On one side it says “Goal” and the other side, “PR.” Guess what we want you to do?!
That’s right – write on it!

You’ve made the commitment to do CrossFit, now it’s time to make the commitment to achieving your specific short-term and long-term goals. Without goals, what’s the point?! They can be big or small, simple or complex, but when thinking about your goal(s), I want you to keep in mind two very important things:

Make your goal as specific and detailed as possible so you know what you are trying to accomplish, and how to go about achieving it. For example, “I want to have double unders” ask yourself (Joe ;)), By when & how many?! Just saying, “I want to lose weight,” is too general. How much weight? And, is that amount realistic. “I want kipping pull ups!” Well, can you do body weight pull ups? Have you got a body weight push up?  There are some things which you need to get to another. Talk to the coaches to find out what is the best way to get to your goals. WHEN do you want to achieve that goal by? Just saying/writing up a goal is great but give yourself a realistic deadline. It makes you more committed then.

There are already a lot goals up on our board. The PR board is a celebration board! Every time you achieve a personal record, PUT IT UP ON THE BOARD! And ring the f**king bell, the whole class will acknowledge and applaud. Anyone who doesn’t will do burpees!!
