CFD's Newest Apprentice – Ryan Conlan
We would like to introduce you to CFD’s newest apprentice Ryan Conlan. Welcome Ryan! We are delighted to have you on board. Here is some information about Ryan’s previous training.
Ryan has a background in rugby, hurling and the occasional game of golf. After suffering multiple injuries that had him side-lined for long periods of a recent rugby season, Ryan discovered Crossfit Football, a program that enabled him to become bigger, faster and stronger. After a few months following the program, he noticed his work capacity, strength and conditioning levels increased significantly but most importantly his recovery times decreased.
Spurred on by these results, Ryan decided to transition from field sports into Crossfit full-time and joined Crossfit Dublin in July 2013. While in his first year at National University of Ireland, Galway, he was a committed member splitting his training between Crossfit Corrib and Crossfit Dublin. In February 2014, he was awarded a Silver medal in the Irish Junior Weight Lifting Championships and at the same time, he attained his Cross Fit Level 1 Trainer Certification. While Ryan enjoys the training aspect of the program, he has also enjoyed having the opportunity to meet a lot of interesting and like-minded people through the gym.
Ryan’s resoundingly positive experiences have led him to defer a year of University in order to follow this passion and complete a Crossfit Apprenticeship. Ryan has always had a passion for human performance and he knows that the quality of coaches in the Madlab system can help him reach his coaching and athletic potential. His ultimate goal is to help people achieve self-mastery physically, emotionally and mentally through the medium of Crossfit.
