Congratulations to this Month’s Perpetua Athlete of the Month – Rob Wolahan!

Rob was chosen by the coaches for his consistent attendance and recent progress.

Rob is a regular attendee of our specialised Oly Lifting classes and his massive improvements have not gone unnoticed!!

Keep it up Rob!

Meet Rob!

1> Where are you from?

Proud Bray man. Some think I have a South African accent but this is a misconception.

2> When you’re not at Perpetua what do you do for work and for fun

For fun: mostly cryptic crosswords. And I work in the murky world of drug development at Pfizer,

3> How did you find out about CrossFit?

My buddy didn’t want to shell out to do the fundamentals on his own so I stepped in to share the load. He has since retired from CrossFit.

4> How long have you been a member at Perpetua?

12 months.

5> Why do you do CrossFit?

It’s efficient and concise.

6> How often do you train?

Shoot for 4 classes p/w.

7>What are your fitness goals?

Muscle ups and a half decent snatch!

8> What is your greatest achievement?

Consistently completing Jamie’s double-double burger challenge at Bunsen.

9> What or who motivates you?
My 6.30am brethren of course:)

10> What is your favourite and least favourite WOD or movement?

Fave: HSPU, Least: double-unders.

11>Would you recommend CrossFit to your friends and family? What advice would you give them starting out?

I would indeed. I would advise to book all your classes for the week on Sunday night and stick to that schedule. Also, never check the WODs prior to class!

12>Favourite cheat meal?

Cheeses. Wheels and wheels of cheese.

13> Favourite thing about Perpetua?

A great bunch of lads (and ladies)

14>Bonus question: Most memorable or funniest moment at Perpetua?
The sight of Tal Shmueli strolling in late to class, with an outrageous mahogany tan after a trip to Hawaii.. (you possibly had to be there..)
