CrossFit Kids is Coming!
CrossFit Kids is coming to Perpetua in February!!!
About CrossFit Kids
Did you know in each CrossFit Kids WOD we program some kind of movement that helps develop the Vestibular System?
Now what is your Vestibular system?
It is located in your inner ear and specialises in the sense of balance and the transmission of space-orientation impulses. ‘It also plays a role into varying degrees in vision, muscle coordination, motor development, respiration, learning, language, and, of course, balance.’
The most effective way to develop The Vestibular System is to use it! It is as simple as doing a front roll, rock back and forth, handstand, changing directions quickly. Childhood is such a critical time to get them moving.

About CrossFit Kids Coach Ashley
Perpetua member Ashley comes from Houston, Texas, and was playing sports from a young age. Her main sports were lacrosse and cheerleading, which she played up to collegiate level, and her other passion was horseback riding, which she also taught to kids.
Along the way she got interested in nutrition and studied at the French Culinary Institute in New York before starting work with My Fit Foods (http://www.myfitfoods.com/) in Houston, where she was part of the food design team.
While living in Germany, Ashley and her Husband decided to open a nutrition business based on her experiences in Houston. Through their marketing with gyms and personal trainers they met a couple who had just started with CrossFit and were planning on opening a box in Germany, where there were only a handful at the time, back in 2011. She was immediately converted to CrossFit and never looked back.
In 2014 they sold the business in Germany and moved back to Ireland to start a family. After lots of consideration of how to best integrate parenthood with one of the things she loved most, she decided to get her L1 certification and the CrossFit Kids certification.
