Mick in a H.S.P.U , location not disclosed

On July 31st a good friend and fellow Crossfitter Michael O’Riordan (known to most as Mick) was seriously injured in a bus crash in Cambodia, just outside of Vietnam. He was just starting out on a backpacking adventure that was to take him through parts of South East Asia, New Zealand and Australia and he was due to be checking out some other Crossfit boxes for some WOD’s around the world. In the blink of an eye the bus driver had fallen asleep and crashed into a parked truck. Michael was extremely lucky to have survived and was very fortunate in receiving excellent care in Bangkok General Hospital. He is now recovering in Cork University Hospital with a broken pelvis, broken ribs and muscle damage to his left leg. He has made some amazing progress since the accident, and is keeping in good form especially due to his level of fitness as a Crossfit athlete. Because of his prior training at Crossfit Dublin he has the focus, determination and mental and physical strength to help him make such amazing progress and get himself back on his feet. Michael is well on his way to making a full recovery. He looks forward to joining CFD again in the future to kick some ass!
