Congratulations to our April members of the Month, Mark O’Meara and Warren Mitchell! Both have gained some amazing developments and progressions over the last month and we are proud of their achievements so far. Read a bit more below about each of our members and what their achievements to date and goals for the future are, all members should read the bonus question from Warren – building the community. What do you do outside of CrossFit for work and for fun? Golf

How did you get involved in CrossFit? A combination of my neighbour, Neill Hughes and my son, Greg persuaded me to give it a go

When did you first join CFD? August 2012

What was your first WOD in the classes? I don’t remember, but I will never forget my first Fran !

When did you realise CrossFit was right for you? Pretty quickly after finishing my fundamentals

What are your short term goals? Double unders and kipping

Long term goals? Just sticking at the Crossfit routine for the long term really

What is your greatest accomplishment? Getting fit after twenty years of zero exercise

What is your favourite WOD / movement? Rowing

What is your least favourite WOD / movement? Thursters

Would you recommend CrossFit to your friends and family? What advice would you give them? Definitely – just give it a try and you will be bitten by the bug

Least favourite and favourite music to WOD to? Usually too knackered to notice

Bonus question: Most memorable CFD moment? Getting a seven minute plank!

What do you do outside of CrossFit for work and for fun? I usually play football with friends

How did you get involved in CrossFit? Family use CrossFit abroad, so I googled it for Ireland and found CFD

When did you first join CFD? January 2014

When did you realise CrossFit was right for you? After about a week when I realised the community aspect to CFD

What are your short term goals? Improve my fitness and fat to muscle ratio

Long term goals? To get to a level where I can compete with some of the more advance members

What is your greatest accomplishment? In terms of CrossFit just the improvement I’ve made in my training

What is your favourite WOD / movement? Push press bench press and skipping

What is your least favourite WOD / movement? Burpees

Would you recommend CrossFit to your friends and family? Yes, just keep going and talk to other members they can be very helpful

Least favourite and favourite music to WOD to? I like to listen to EMINEM or up beat music I don’t like slow songs

Bonus question: Most memorable CFD moment? This Wednesday when I was last to finish a WOD and everyone got behind me to help me finish
