Just so there’s no confusion, let me start by saying I freaking love Christmas. Love it! From countdowns that start in early November, to Christmas jumpers, and all the pigging out and Bublé albums in between. That being said, if you’re not careful, Christmas can mean a 3 weeklong break from training and a horrible January to make up for it.

Being away from the box doesn’t need to be an excuse not to train. Avoid the vomit inducing feeling you get in the first 2 weeks of January when you realize you could realistically pass out after 12 box jumps and try a few of these ‘out of the box WODS’ to keep you in decent Nick. Pun very much intended.

12 minute AMRAP
12 Burpees
6 sit ups
12 HR press-ups
50 Double-unders or 200m run

Chest-to-Deck the Halls:
3 rounds:
60 seconds – max air squats
60 seconds – max HR press-ups
60 seconds – max Burpees
60 seconds – Rest

Roast your chestnuts on this:
16 minutes
Every odd minute:
20 seconds hollow hold/rock
10 press-ups
Every even minute:
10 burpees
10 Air squats

If none of those take your fancy you could always spend the Christmas holidays practicing for the double-unders world record…
